We have a big quarterly meeting this week that I intend to skip if possible. Others are skipping, wanting to skip but can't or taking time off to "see the doctor" excuse. Myself, I am going to try to work. Yea, I'd rather WORK than attend another BS session.

Considering my "underemployment" regarding my skills and education where I work, as well as that there are times of peaks and lows, I sometimes get bored. And to me, the saying that "idle hands ..." (hehehehe!!!)

Ever had one of those days ... I did today.
I start work at 6am. About 6:30 I get a call from a computer user (female) regarding issues she is having with her mouse. She explains that it sticks and sometimes doesn't work. She states that she has to open the mouse up and clean the 'gunk' on the rollers. She said that she had 'borrowed' a mouse that doesn't use the ball and she would like one of those...

I'm laughing as I type this. I work with a group that is stationed in the North East and (as you can imagine) is full of people who tend to vote Democrat. Only one other person and myself tend to be conservative.
Note - I am not tied to the Republican party, I tend to vote for the person whom I think will do the best job or (in the case of Kerry Vs Bush) will do the least amount of damage...

Ok, this story is fairly close to one told here a bit ago. Except this time, it involved 3 different cats.
I work for a small company in the boondocks of nowheresville (nice place, good coworkers), and we're all fairly merry individuals (there are about 5-6 of us). I could go into great detail about the New Year's Farts incidents, or the Halloween Corpse Competiton, but I digress...

Yesterday we got a service request from my other boss in regards to a backgound check on a new hire. Since I am now sitting in a cube all day and I was sending the request to the correct department I thought I'd have some fun with this.

A person I worked with was a real pain in the butt she always thought she was right and she got everyone in trouble all the time one day she got me in trouble for the last time so I watched when she went to the restroom and she had this one stall she would go in all the time. I went in and I put see through rap on the toilet seat and when she went to sit down she peed all over her self she had to go home and every one in the office was having a ball laughing at what happened to the snitch...

This goes out to everyone whom loves to borrow other people's stuff but does not like to return it! I have this one co-worker whom keeps borrowing money, tokens for transportation, coffee cups and just recently--my dictionary. I approached her to return the dictionary and she denied that it was not mine. When I pointed out I wrote the name of my section on the inside, she finally gave it back. This woman should be ready to retire! She's been with the company for over 33 years and still lives in the 1970's!
