Well, this week has been a bit tough as the BIG honcho has been in town all week along with others from Upper management. But today, they all decided to catch an early flight back to corporate and so they fled the building at 9:00. The result? The local bosses left the building at 11:30 while informing everyone they would be available by cell phone for the rest of the day.

After they left, co-workers left at noon leaving me here by my lonesome! I love this! I have the whole floor to myself! If it weren't for those pesky cameras I could take my clothes off and run around naked! Of course anyone catching me would need eye bleach but other than that...

I'll enjoy today and then leave early myself but in the meantime it sure is nice to have some peace and quiet...

Why leave! This is FUN! Right now I'm playing some old Bee Gee's songs as loud as I can while looking at old cars on ebaymotors and wishing I had some $ to buy them....

Heeeeerrrrreeeeee we are....in a room full of strannnggeerrs....Dancing in the dark.

Corporate Ladder Rung: CEOSouthernProgrammer (10/19/2007)
Oops, that's standing in the dark not dancing in the dark. When that song (Nights on Broadway) first came out I was convinced the lyrics were dancing in the dark and I guess that stuck. Could be worse, I had a friend who was convinced "More than a woman" was really "Bald headed woman"..

Hope you enjoyed yourself. I love it when the workplace is quiet and peaceful and I can get some work done without interruptions. Have had to listen to many fake-life stories.

Quietness at the workplace must be the theme today. We had Staff Development Day so I actually got to sit in my room alone and work! I did all my routine computer work in the dark with the door closed. I got a lot done!

I sold my classic car on e-bay. The auction winner lived in Sweden so I had the car shipped there.

My fave BeeGees song is "Jive Talkin'"!

:) mine is stayin' alive.

How about Gloria Gainer - "I Will Survive." But I agree with Anon on the Bee Gee song "Staying Live"

But as to 'extra' activities ... the photo copier come to mind ... :->

And if the BIG bosses were ever to come back and ask how many managers work there you can say "half!"

I would also program all the HP printer default displays to display what I want. You can have then printer displays say things like "Insert coin", "Feed Me Kittens", "Prints Charming", "Game Over", etc.

I've actually pulled the HP ready message prank. I had the printer telling people that it was out of cheese.

Or you could have ripped all your clothes off and went running and leaping around the office singing "Born Free" :->

That sounds like a lot of fun! I hate I couldn't have been there to party with ya! And your nudity! HAHA

You guys kill me with laughter!
Check-out the new Mick Jagger album--first song is "God Gave Me Everything (I Want)". That is my new theme. And my theme song for when I quit.
