I did it!

Thanks to all who crossed their fingers! While I was rolling out of bed this morning (like 7-something) and pulling on my cow head slippers, My cell phone started ringing. I looked at the number, made a "gee who's this so early in the morning" face, and flipped it open to answer it. It was the office manager from the dental office I had interviewed at, and she offered me the job! This is honestly bittersweet, because I'm going from one fantastic place to another, but I'm going to miss my job, and the people there. I'm going to miss having the mall right there next to my building, literally a barefoot walk away (not that I'd want to do that), and tons of restaurants and shops nearby to distract me at lunch. There ARE actually shops at the new job, but you know... ^_^.
I'm just scared of stepping out of my comfort zone. I went ahead and put in my two weeks this morning, and accepted the job. Wish me luck!!!

Remember that "comfort zone" is more about "zone" than "comfort." You are going on an adventure, in a manner of speaking. Enjoy the trip!! And speaking from recent personal experience, don't let all the new stuff become discouraging as you settle in to your new job. Sometimes there are so many new things to take in that it could feel overwhelming at times. You can do it! Give yourself time, and pep talks, too. You will master all the new tasks, and at some point, know your new job very well.
